Urban Forestry Division

Purpose

Euclid’s Urban Forestry Division was reinstated in 2024 when the City received funding from the USDA Inflation Reduction Act to complete a Street Tree Inventory that had been started in 2021, to hire an Urban Forester and to develop an Urban Forest Comprehensive Plan (UFCP) with the assistance of Davey Resource Group. Euclid hired its first Urban Forester in January of 2025 and the UFCP will be completed sometime in the Fall of 2025.

The City is evaluating its process for caring for its trees along with the development of its Urban Forest.  This is a collaborative effort between the Planning & Development, Service and Parks & Recreation Departments. Further guidance is provided by the Euclid Shade Tree Commission.
