Events at Memorial Park Monday, November 8th

On Monday, November 8th, shots were fired by an unknown individual in Memorial Park, near Euclid High, Euclid Public Library, and Euclid City Hall. There were no injuries reported.

Euclid High School had already dismissed students for the day, but as a precaution, the District placed Euclid Middle School on a modified lockdown.

The Euclid Police Department, working closely with Euclid Schools security, located two adult male suspects in front of the Public Library. The 18 and 19-year-old suspects were in possession of two stolen handguns.

Both were taken into custody. Neither were Euclid High School students.

The lockdown was lifted at approximately 3:10 pm after the arrests.

The Euclid Schools will share additional information as it becomes available.

The Euclid Police Department and Euclid Schools Security will continue to work together closely in partnership to protect our students and staff throughout the District.
