Leaf Pickup Final Days

December 12, 2024

The Streets Department will begin their final pass through every street in the city this week.

Leaf collection is coming to an end! Please see a Leaf Collection update from Streets Manager Tom Bildstein below:

Euclid residents, soon we will be starting our final leaf collection!

Our final pass will start in the Hills. Our crews will start at Upper Valley and work their way East to Hillandale. Once this round is complete, we will not be returning. Please have your leaves ready for collection at the curbside if you wish to participate.

Once the Hills are complete, we will be collecting North of Lakeshore for the final time. Once again, we will not be returning so, please have your leaves ready for collection at the curbside if you wish to participate.

After we finish collecting North of Lakeshore, we will start collecting the F&S section, 260-280 section, 260-272 section and 250–260 section in that order for the final time. Once again as you have probably already guessed we will not be returning to these sections. Please have all your leaves ready for collection and placed curbside if you wish to participate.

Once these sections have been completed, we will be collecting Babbitt-250, 222-Babbitt and 222-200. Once completed we will finish off leaf season in the 185-200 and North of Euclid sections. Once again, we will not be returning to these sections so, please have all your leaves out and placed curbside for collection this final time.

After leaf season has come to an end, you may find that you still have leaves that you would like to dispose of: Please put these leaves in paper yard waste bags and place them in or next to your Kimble trash tote. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this final sweep of the season!

STORM CLEANUP UPDATE: The November snow storm did significant damage to many trees in the City. The Parks Department has been working in the F&S area ( East Side ) and will be working west from that area. We have been working on dangerous hangers first and removing as much brush as possible while in these areas. Please be patient as almost every street in the city has had tree damage due to the weight of the wet snow.

If you have leaves out on your treelawns for the Final Leaf Pick-up, do not put the branches on top of the leaves, as the Street Department can not move them and your leaves will not be picked up. Please place your branches on your front lawn, close to the sidewalk and the Parks tree crews will pick them up from there.
