Departing Council members Marcus Epps (Ward 3) and Maria Jukic (Ward 7).

Euclid is proud to welcome two new City Council members in 2024: Dontea Gresham will be serving Euclid in Ward 3 and Maryann Dybiec in Ward 7. The two newly elected Councilpersons will replace Marcus Epps in Ward 3 and Maria Jukic in Ward 7, both of whom chose not to seek re-election to their Council roles. The departure of these two Council members will be felt throughout the community, as they have made significant contributions to the City during their time in office.

Councilwoman Maria Jukic served four years on Euclid City Council, during which time she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of residents in Ward 7. As chair of the Sustainability and Parks Committee, she has been instrumental in the improvement of our public parks, including the Waterfront Improvements Project / Lakefront Trail at Sims Park, and new playgrounds at Memorial Park, Willow Park, Hero Park, Tungsten Park, and Heritage Park. Her commitment to the community will be sorely missed, and the City wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.

Councilman Marcus Epps also served four years on Euclid City Council before running for Mayor in 2023. A passionate advocate for the people of Euclid, his efforts as chair of the Euclid Avenue Revitalization Committee led to the border-to-border resurfacing of Euclid Avenue, which resulted in a more vibrant business district and an increase in opportunities for both business owners and residents. The City thanks him for his dedicated service and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

While the departure of these two council members will undoubtedly be felt, their successors and the remaining members of Council are committed to continuing their efforts on behalf of the community. Their commitment to public service serves as an inspiration to us all.
