Euclid has been officially named an America 250-Ohio Community, which will be partaking in the celebration of the semi-quincentennial, or the 250th anniversary of our nation on July 4, 2026.
Euclid will be doing several events, presentations, and activities, throughout the rest of 2025 and all of 2026 to celebrate Euclid’s unique history, and to recognize Euclid’s contributions to American history. From the Charles F. Brush’s invention of the arc lamp, to constitutional ruling of zoning, and the veterans who built Euclid after World War II, Euclid’s history is one to be celebrated.
Community Development Manager Ed Chenock, was named as the City Liaison for the America 250-Ohio initiative for Euclid.
Throughout April 2025, the City will be forming an America 250-Ohio Committee to help plan events, activities, and presentations to celebrate Euclid’s history that aligns with America 250-Ohio. The committee will work closely with the Euclid Historical Society and the Euclid Public Library as key resources. Any Euclid resident who is passionate about both local history and American history are encouraged to apply.
For any questions, please contact Ed Chenock at (216) 289-8140 or via email at
