Euclid, OH - The City of Euclid is excited to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of the former Lakeshore Chevy site on East 185th Street. The redevelopment plan will be executed in two phases, with the Euclid portion being phase one and the Cleveland portion being phase two.
The RFP comes after several public meetings were held to gather feedback from residents on what they would like to see in the redevelopment of the site. The feedback received was taken into consideration when drafting the RFP, ensuring that the redevelopment plan reflects the needs and wants of the community.
The redevelopment plan aims to create a vibrant, mixed-use development that will attract new businesses and residents to the area. The site is strategically located near highways and public transportation, making it an ideal location for development. The site also boasts lakefront access less than a half-mile away and is adjacent to other exciting redevelopment plans such as the Cleveland Metroparks Euclid Beach project.
The redevelopment of the former Lakeshore Chevy site is a significant step forward for both Euclid and Cleveland. The collaboration between the two cities demonstrates a commitment to working together to revitalize the area and create new opportunities for residents and businesses.
"We are thrilled to be working with the City of Cleveland on this exciting project," said Euclid Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail. "The redevelopment of the former Lakeshore Chevy site is a key priority for our city, and we are confident that this will be a catalytic project and significant asset to the community."
The RFP for the redevelopment of the former Lakeshore Chevy site is available online and interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals by March 22nd, 2024. The Euclid and Cleveland communities eagerly anticipate the start of this exciting project and look forward to the future growth and development it will bring.
