Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to join Euclid Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail and Bike Cleveland / Bike Euclid members on a guided bike ride as part of the County’s “Bike with a Mayor” series.
The “Bike with a Mayor” series aims to provide residents with the opportunity to engage in physical activity with their elected leaders while also learning about their city’s dedication to providing greenspace and trails for year-round enjoyment.
Riders will gather at 10am on Saturday, Sept. 7th at Collision Bend Brewing Company (1261 Babbitt Rd., Euclid) and will commence in the same location. Ride highlights will include the recently upgraded Hero Park, the proposed Off-Road Euclid Avenue Trail location and the Euclid Creek Reservation Extension (see preliminary route map below- more detailed route map to follow.)
Before the ride, volunteers from Bike Cleveland and Bike Euclid will be on hand to provide information about riding safely and assist us with a bicycle safety check and tune up. If you haven’t ridden your bike yet this year, be sure to arrive early.
Many bike-able locations make up the Cuyahoga Greenways network, which is a system of existing and future trails and bikeways that aims to expand opportunities for commuting, recreation and exercise. Riders will learn about how these sites came to fruition, as well as future planned connections and trails.
