The event, held on Saturday, October 19th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., taught the intricacies of tree planting and the importance of urban forestry.

Arbor Day, traditionally a day meant to encourage tree planting and care, was celebrated late in Euclid with a focus on education. Attendees were treated to a comprehensive program that went beyond the basics of tree planting. The Euclid Shade Tree Commission emphasized that planting a tree is not merely about digging a hole; it involves careful planning and consideration to ensure the tree's long-term health and growth.

The event kicked off with an engaging presentation from Shade Tree Commissioner Roy Larick and Shade Tree Commission Chairperson Jody Lathwell, who shared their expertise on choosing the right tree species for specific environments.
