Storefront Renovation

The City of Euclid’s Storefront Renovation Program (SRP) provides assistance to commercial-retail building owners and tenants in the form of a financial rebate. Designed to protect economic vitality, encourage commerce, and strengthen Euclid’s commercial fabric, the program incentivizes exterior façade rehabilitation.

The program targets deteriorating and/or blighted commercial-retail structures, and is made possible through federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds - which prioritize buildings in Low-to-Moderate income designated areas (although can be used on projects that serve a City-wide benefit). The program can be used to address external code violations.

A 50% rebate, not to exceed $25,000, is available for comprehensive exterior façade rehabilitation projects which meet the program’s eligibility criteria. Proposal designs must be approved by the City’s Architecture Review Board, and appropriate Building Permits must be obtained prior to beginning any related work.
