    Description

     

    The Hero Park Improvements project is a multi-phase project, including the installation of a new playground (completed May 2022), a 2/3-mile walking trail around the perimeter of the park (completed June 2023), site furnishings made from upcycled wind turbine parts (pending installation November 2023), landscaping, and park entrance redesign. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new playground was held on July 13, 2022, and an additional ceremony for the trail and other improvements will be held in 2024.
