LEARN TO SKATE (AGES 3+)
2025-2026 Season
C.E. Orr Arena offers three regular sessions of Learn to Skate, which last for 4 or 6 weeks. In the fourth and final session, participants will have a 30-minute group lesson session and the option for an additional 30-minute session working on a routine for the end-of-season "Showcase". Our lessons are open to children three years and older and all abilities. Our classes are taught under the USFSA Basic Skills format.
Registration:
Session 1
- $45 Residents | $60 Non-Residents
Session 2 & 3
- $50 Residents | $65 Non-Residents
Session 4
- $55 Residents | $70 Non-Residents
Skate Rental is not included in lessons. If skate rental is needed, you can purchase a single Ticket for $3 or a $15 Skate Punch Card for 7 punches.
Tuesday Sessions
Session 1: October 7th - October 28th (4 Weeks)
Session 2: November 4th - December 9th (6 Weeks)
Session 3: January 6th - February 10th (6 Weeks)
Session 4: February 17th - March 24th | Showcase: March 31 (6 Weeks)
Tuesday Evenings
5:30 PM: Pre-Free, Freestyle
6:00 PM: Snowplow 1 – 4, Basic 5 & 6
6:30 PM: Basic 1 – 4, Adult
If not enough teens/adults register for the Teen/Adult Class, participants will be placed in a suitable class based on their skill level.
We will do our best to accommodate all skating levels at scheduled times, but due to participation numbers, some groups may be combined.
Open Skate
Stay after class for our 1-hour Open Skate for a special Learn to Skate rate for participants of the current class at $3 admission.
Learn to Skate Session 4 - Showcase
Session Highlights:
- Duration: 6 weeks (February 17 – March 24)
- Showcase Date: March 31(the grand finale of your hard work and talent!)
- Session Structure: 1-hour sessions, with 30 minutes of lessons and 30 minutes of show practice.
Registration Options:
- 30-Minute Lesson ONLY
- Focus solely on skill improvement.
- 30-Minute Lesson + 30-Minute Show Practice Package
- Includes lessons, showcase rehearsals, and final showcase (Showcase, T-Shirt, Pizza Party).
Important Note:
- Some lesson levels may be combined this session.
- If you do not think you are going to be available for the Showcase on March 31, please sign up for lessons only.
Participants have two registration options to tailor their experience:
- 30-Minute Lesson ONLY: Focus solely on improving your skating skills with expert guidance.
- 30-Minute Lesson + 30-Minute Show Practice Package: Receive both skating lessons and rehearse your performance for the showcase, embracing the theme.
Registration online or at Euclid City Hall by 4:30 pm day of the first class of each session. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to get skates on before class.
